Country View Restaurant: A Taste of Home in Steeves Mountain

Awesome food, portion to cost is amazing ! Servers are great. Place was slammed on a Saturday morning so the service was a little slow only having one server, but well worth the wait !

I had the corn chowder to start, it was absolutely fantastic, then I had the fish cakes, they were amazing. Our waitress was a joy to deal with. I highly recommend this place for a good old fashioned meal,

Had brunch here on my way from Moncton to Salisbury and was not disappointed. Everything you look for in a home style restaurant. Good portions, good selection, good staff, and great pricing. Would take the trip out again!

Awesome breakfast, took the hungry man and sure ain't hungry when we left. Atmosphere is ok, country type diner, prices are decent and the server was great!

Excellent food , great atmosphere. My wife is Celiac and they look after her needs very well. This is definitely our favorite go to place. Even though sometimes you have to wait for a table.

2nd review: Both Pat and I enjoyed our second visit here. Great food and fantastic service in a down home atmosphere. We were lucky to experience home made cookie batches being offered up front at a friendly price. We bought 2 packages of a dozen each. As Arnold S. would say, "We'll be back." 1st review: First timers here and definitely not our last visit, God permitting. Both Pat, my lovely wife, and I enjoyed our time here. Perfect weather and excellent timing, on our days outing, allowed us to finally make this stop. Both of us were impressed with their coffee cup size. Had mine refilled 2 and a half times (needed the perking up). When my meal arrived, I was impressed with the scrambled eggs. Very light and fluffy. Perfectly yellow without any oily flying pan residue. Wonderful home fries that I had more than enough to share with Pat. Appreciated the tin with mustard for my sausage dippings. Nice selection of toppings for my toast. Pat enjoyed her meal. Pleasant waitress, actually the entire staff was pleasant and outgoing. No regrets stopping her. Look forward to future visits. Asked about the neighboring little church. It is not connected to the restaurant. Remnants from a bygone era when the location had a religious sanctuary for those inclined. We did stop and check out the little church. To our delight, the door was unlocked, and we did get some snaps (included here). We were made to understand that the door is not always open to the church. Addendum: Apparently, this site has reviews set up for motel. We only visited the restaurant. Where rating for "Rooms" was listed, I rated it for FOOD. Where rating for "Location" was listed, I rated it for ATMOSPHERE. I gave all a 5 star out of 5 rating.

Only ate at the restaurant. Incredible homemade food. Best Seafood Chowder ever! Cars are driving fast on 128 near the entrance, so be careful. I was super impressed with the food, portions, and price. The pictures tell it all, and the taste was awesome.

Delicious food!! Special of the day was the Lobster Roll platter - so good and a reasonable price!!
